"Sevilla tiene un color especial!"
For those of you traveling to Spain anytime soon, do not hesitate to stop in Sevilla. Most people only go to Madrid and Barcelona, but if you have not visited Sevilla, Can you really say you have been to Spain? Sevilla in my opinion is the most Spanish of Spanish cities, it is where flamenco originated from, and it is proudly danced in people's everyday lives. Sevilla also has amazing food, and the city is in my opinion; the most romantic city I have ever been to. Sevilla will enchant you both day and night, but watch out if you visit in the summer, it is not advisable to be out on the street during the day (ex. 1-8). In my opinion the best time to visit Sevilla is in the Spring, up to early/ mid May the weather is perfect to be out and about at anytime!
Food: Watch out for the tourist prices, they are not the typical price one pays for a tapa, if they are charging you 6/7 euros for a tapa then it is a no go! Best thing to do is ask a local for a typical restaurant (many people do not speak English so you can ask: "me podria recomendar un lugar para cenar tapas?") One typical place that is close to the main avenue in Seville and is a typical Spanish place is "Los Coloniales" one thing though is adapt to the Spanish times because they are not open the whole day! Another budget friendly restaurant, more like student friendly is "Los 100 montaditos", this is a chain so prices are not high! You can find various "montaditos" which are typical small subs, so I recommend you order more than one! On Wednesdays and Sundays the whole menu is 1 euro! If you are looking for a cheap place to eat and where you want to get full, not just tapas, then there is of coarse McDonalds and Burger King in Burger King you can order "Menu Ahorro" for 3,95 and get a small menu with free refills, if you want something fuller, then there is a Dominos on the street REYES CATOLICOS where you have a pizza buffet for 6,95 with refills! Keep in mind you need to be at least 2 people for the buffet and its only at THIS dominos!
Places/Things to do: The main attractions in Sevilla are...
*They are all quite central and close by, except for Plaza de Espana- to commute from Plaza de Espana to the center you can take the tram which is fast and cheap!
Some other points of interest are the Plaza de Toros, and Triana, a small "village" which is across the river from Torre de Oro, there you can go have a nice dinner or enjoy a glass of wine.
Hope this encourages you to take a trip to Sevilla and discover all of its special colors and flavors this beautiful city has to offer!

Places/Things to do: The main attractions in Sevilla are...
- Plaza de Espana next to Maria Luisa Park: This is a nice area to take cool pictures, and take a stroll, have an ice cream, sit and enjoy the site, both day and night!
- La Cathedral & Giralda: This is the most central part of Sevilla, you should go into the cathedral and Giralda, which is connected to the church, the church is a Gothic style church, beautiful from the inside and has various little things to see inside, the Giralda is part of an old mosque, there are no elevators for the Giralda so going with small children is not advisable as there are many floors to go up to! Check the opening hours because again, it is not something that is opened all day, either way if you don't get to go in, walking around the church and the surroundings is amazing!
- La Torre de Oro:This tower is next to the canal, this is said to be where Cortez kept all the gold which was taken from Mexico! It is quite small and is a quick stop for your trip!
- La Zeta: This is a monument which was recently built, you can go in and go up, where you will see the whole city, like everything check the opening hours! It is also a nice place to walk around and just relax, spend time, and have a nice ice cream! There are gelaterias everywhere and really good bobba tea *Wowbble!
- Palacio Alcazar: This was an old Arab castle, if you have noticed by now, Sevilla is not like most Spanish cities, this city has a great mix of both European and Arabic architecture, it is AMAZING! This castle has beautiful gardens and it is a nice place to take pictures, also Game of Thrones season 5 was shot here!
